The Warriors are Golden

The Golden State Warriors have won their first NBA title in over four decades. They defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers last night to win the series four games to two. The Warriors finished their historical season on the road in Cleveland, as Lebron James lost in the finals for the second straight season. The story is here: Golden State wins the NBA finals…

Golden State was led by Stephon Curry all season, and last month he received the Most Valuable Player award for the first time in his young career. He now has a title to cap off a perfect season for him both individually and team wise.

The Warriors led the NBA in wins during the regular season with 67, and avid skier and basketball fan, Andy Wirth highlights the fact that they did not disappoint in the playoffs. They showed their depth and overall talent was too much for a team in Cleveland that was riddled with injuries to star players throughout the playoffs. James put up a valiant fight, but in the end the team with more depth was just overwhelming enough to defeat the best player in the world. The Warriors have a bright future ahead of them, as their team is very young, and they will continue to be golden for years to come!
