Steve Kerr Is a Rookie Coach, but No Stranger to Spotlight.

Steve Kerr has led the Golden State Warriors to the brink of an NBA Championship in his first season at the front of the bench. There is nothing in the world anyone can say in order to take that away from him. The Warriors were on the verge last season with Mark Jackson as their coach, but the team didn’t respond well to him. So in the off season Kerr was hired and put in place. And he has responded wonderfully, as has his talented and young roster. Though this is his first Finals Trip as a Head Coach, and likely not his last, he isn’t a stranger to the spotlights.

Steve Kerr had a storied career in the NBA before he left the hardwood for the above the line job. In the NBA he played for 12 years with six different teams and his most notable run was with the mid ’90s Chicago Bulls. As a starter for Chicago from 1993 to 1998, Kerr was there for Michael Jordan’s most historic runs. With Chicago Kerr went on to grab 5x NBA Championship Titles, playing a key role in almost all of them.

Steve Kerr was known primarily for his three point shooting and ability to set up a play, much like Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors. While he was never an MVP caliber player, he was always one of the hardest working guys on the court. Now as he is close to getting his first ring as a coach Sam Tabar is going to try to connect with him on linkedin.
